Grey is not just a new color trend, it is here to stay. Grey tones from Dove Grey to Charcoal are turning up on everything from clothing, furniture stains and bedding. This is a great neutral that goes with virtually any other color, from brights to more subdued tones.

We have some beautiful furniture lines that offer several tones of grey. Currently we have a Newport Cottages contemporary crib on our floor and we will be getting another version of a grey stain in our new AP line of furnishings that we are excited to show! Papou sound Greek to you. Well it just so happens papou is Greek for
grandpa but Greek, English or Hindu, i want to introduce you to someone that
has turned this papou into a prouder than ever guy.

That someone and something is Juli Adams and her ” kid’s rooms that
glow” store called Firefly Furnishings.

Before going any further let me say this is my idea and not her’s. i
will not accept one cent for my comments and you might think that is
what they are worth.

But the simple fact is that i have bought grand-daughter Vivian a
dozen presents over the year’s and each one has drawn raves. that is
not easy because Vivian lives in lower New York City, where everyone
thinks that anything with originality, taste or sophistication can
only be found in the land of Broadway.

Now i know that grandfather’s are not supposed to have any feel or
taste for clothes, furnishings and toys for anything younger than 21.
well, maybe we don’t know but we have learned to identify people and
places that do have those things.

This is the only reason for this little note. once you meet Juli and
her crew you will instantly feel comfortable in the knowledge that if
it exists and has anything good to do for new-borns to 4 year-olds you
are quite likely to find it here. i am not talking about just some
cutesy fad. i am talking about clothes, toys and furnishings that
someone who knows and loves children has made available.

Example- a rocking apparatus that comes as close to imitating me as
anything i have ever seen. I did not think i could ever be matched in
a rocking chair but i am worried about this thing. I just bought a
red raincoat with black dots that is as ladybug as you can imagine.
before i walked out of the store i bought a matching umbrella and
boots. To top it off, i bought a hooded bath towel– that you guessed
it–it is red with marching black dots.

I know papous-grandpas well enough that i am rapidly running out of
your attention span. i know i good thing when i see it, find out for

Adding Art to your child’s room can be so much fun! My favorite line is Oopsy Daisy as they offer a wide variety of traditional art to an eclectic mix of colors and themes.
