It’s fun to mix styles in one room.  I love an eclectic look that brings together modern, classic and sophisticated designs.  We just added Bratt Décor’s Venetian Crib in pewter to our floor.  It is a gorgeous, elegant classic style crib.   We see this crib always paired with the frilly, fancy or a very classic style of bedding.  We decided to try something different.  We made up the crib with Bebe Chic’s new modern style Milano crib set in trendy grays and yellows.  We think it looks incredible!  People have commented that they would never have chosen yellow in their nursery until they saw this combination.  We also heard that the bedding makes the crib work for either a boy or girl.  It’s fun to get out of your comfort zone.  If you want to experiment with different looks just ask.  We’ll remake any crib or bed on our floor and try something new together!

Welcome our new additions to the store! Please stop by and visit our second floor to view our new arrivals from Dwell. We are the only store in Denver showing this fabulous furniture. The Century Crib is a classic style that’s the centerpiece of the nursery. With an x-base structure and tapered cone-shaped legs, the Century Crib has the feel of a vintage classic with modern day updates such as metal sabot detailing on the legs and beautifully finished hardwood.

Where to Start?

Beginning your search for the perfect nursery essentials can be overwhelming at best.  Everyone asks…”where do I start?”  I recommend finding something that inspires you.  It can be something from your own childhood room, a piece of children’s art you fell in love with,  a cute rug,  or pair of bookends.  The goal of your first few shopping trips or internet searches should be to find that inspiration and then build from there.  Our store is a great place to browse for that inspiration, and then we can help you design a whole room around that piece of art or a stuffed animal that makes you smile.  The second step is to select an overall style for the room.  Do you want a traditional, cottage, contemporary, youthful or sophisticated look?  Your nursery can be designed to match the style of your entire house or can have a completely unique, ecclectic style all of its own.  The item you chose as inspiration often times influences the room’s personality and overall style.   Once you have chosen a style,  then we can dive into the details of selecting colors, bedding and furniture.   Designing your child’s first room is a fun and exciting process….and don’t forget to pack away the special item that inspired you.  It will be a treasured keepsake for years to come!
