Relics Furniture prides itself on workmanship and always being green! All Relics products featured on our site are made in the USA. This piece is meticulously hand finished to reveal a beautiful distressed finish. All case goods are made with a selection of solid hardwoods. Relics uses a combination of Basswood, Aspen and Poplar. Each furniture piece is bench-made adding quality and the attention to detail you expect.
Product Features:
-Relics uses Beadboard paneling on the sides and backs of many cabinets. The paneling is made from two layers of solid Birch veneer, laminated on to a core of mahogany. Relics uses the highest quality, 5.2mm beadboard panel on the market, which is made from layers of solid wood, instead least costly versions made from plastics, wood particles or wood dust, such as MDF.
-The primary drawer body material, commonly called Baltic Birch, is an extremely strong and stable product made with thin layers of solid Birch. The drawers on all Relic’s case pieces are made to last. Baltic Birch is a material that will not shrink or expand with temperature or humidity and thus, it’s the perfect material for drawers. The drawers made with Baltic Birch, Glue & Nails, produce a drawer even more stable and consistent than drawers produced from solid wood with dove tail joinery.
- Cabinet grade Hardwood Veneer Core laminated plywood provides a very stable and durable cabinet construction. The outer layers of this material are solid Birch. The substrate, interior layers, are solid Birch, solid Aspen, or solid Pine. We use this material for cabinet tops, sides, bottoms & vertical & horizontal cabinet dividers.
- Only water based, lead free, environmentally friendly paints are used to finish all Relics furniture pieces.
- Only wood products from Managed Sustainable Mid-Western Forests are used in the construction of all Relics case pieces made in the USA.
